What is the primary symptoms of HIV?

  • pls... i don't know if i'm pos last 4 months i've been engaged in unprotected sex... i feel something wasn't normal. my muscles aches and i think i have a swollen lymph nodes. but not sure of it...how will i know if i have swollen lymph nodes? only this 2 symptoms appeared and i feel normal most of the times. i also not having a flu or fever and even a dry cough? i just don't know what to do... am i positive? pls help... tnx...

    There are rarely any symptoms so soon after HIV infection, although some people do have flu-like symptoms. The only way you can find out for sure if you are infected is to be tested. It can take up to 3 months after exposure for the antibodies to show up in a test. In extremely rare cases, it can take up to 6 months for the antibodies to show up. I would recommend that you get tested 3 months after your last unprotected sexual contact, then again 3 months later. Also, from now on, always use protection.
