How can i get rid of a stye??!?

  • Im in a tough situaton! Tommorow is our 7th grade dance, and I have a date!! I have a stye on my bottom eyelid like right under my tear duct. It is swollen and red. Ive heard to put like a hot washcloth on it, and i got some eyedrops perscribed by my doctor. It went down a little but i really need help its really painful and gross thx. How can i get rid of it?!?!

    you need to use warm compresses four times a day for 15 minutes each...The more the better. The eyedrops don't do anything because it is not an infection. It is a blocked oil gland

Yes, a wet washcloth can sometimes help. I know someone that has had many of them. When they did the washcloth though, it didn't help at all. They went to the doctor and had some type of shot done. That worked for a little while but didn't last. So, the doctor had to cut it out. Hope this helps!

Don't use those eyedrops! Do this instead: Soak a towel with the warmest water you can get. Put it on the stye for about 1 or 2 minutes. Be sure to add more hot water when the towel gets colder. Repeat this process every 30 minutes. I had the same problem the night before a big wedding, and this remedy really helped!
