Meningitis is rare, but if your headaches continue go and get a check up. they do not amputate legs and arms over that, I think you are thinking of Menningacoccal disease. That is different to Meningitis, you have flu like symptoms and sore eyes, headache, vomiting, and also you deteriorate very quickly.
