My father 68 yrs old, was having fever for last two months and it didnt go down for several antibiotics,?

• and before two days ago he was undergone several tests and the Drs are now of the view that he is having TB, and it can be well treated and no probs, but please someone be good enough to tell me how me 30yrs old male with my brother 27yrs old and my mother 64 yrs old breast cancer survivor, escape from not getting TB since my father is being treated for it in our house, thanks

  First, your father may NOT have TB, unless the docs confirmed after various tests were done. Second, some people are immuned from some illness depend on their genes, if your mother has them then you and your brother may have them also. For example, I dont catch cold or flu, and I didnt get that from my parents, it just happend so if I were to have kids, I am sure theres a good chance they will pass on, Antibiotics for his age can sometime be dangerous as his defence system will be pulled right down, I would suggest a second opinion from another doctor if possible,
