When you have mono, do you always have a fever?

I have mono. When will my sore throat and fever go away?

  • I was diagnosed with mono 3 days ago after having a sore throat for 5 days. I went to the emergency room because my doctor told me if I wasn't feeling well 24 hours after he gave me a steroid shot to go and see what was wrong with me ( he was treating me for strep throat). So at the hospital they drew blood and put me on an IV with antibiotics just in case it wasn't viral, pain meds, and a steroid. About 45 minutes later I was starting to feel better I could swallow with no pain and I could breathe a little better although I had some chest congestion it wasn't as bad as it had been. The blood tests came back positve for mono so they gave a perscription for some pain meds and sent me on my way telling me to get plenty of bed rest and drink plenty of fluids for about two weeks. I woke up the next day feeling a little pain when I swallowed and I had a slight headache but that was it. As the day progressed I started feeling worse even when taking the meds. I had a fever and I hadn't had one the whole time I'd been sick and I had very bad nasal congestion enabling me from breathing through my nose which is making sleeping hard because I wake up every two hours with my mouth and lips dryed out and my throat hurting even more. When will this part of my illness go away? I can deal with the sore throat for the most part I just want to beable to sleep without waking up with a fever and not being able to breathe. Please help with any adice you can give.

  • Answer:

pain medications only help with the pain...not the mono seems like you didnt any treatments. you can always take the power of being your own doctor back in your hands anytime, the only thing it takes is not being lazy. use your computer, look up colloidal silver and bob beck protocol. here is a website that sells the CS. http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/store/cart.php?m=product_list&c=28 if you have mono, which they confirmed it...then you'll be sick alot of times, and your immune system is weak thereof, it wont go away unless you do something about it. use your computer! The truth shall set you free!
