Is this an inner ear infection?

How long should a inner ear infection last?

• i am just wondering how long a inner ear infection should last i have been suffering from i think a upper respertory infection or a common cold it all started with a sore throght wich was so bad i could not swallow talk or eat that cleared up then i started to get a clogged ear sniffles stuffled up nose and lots of coughing wich iam still doing off and on also my tast an smell went aswell wich has come back some i am still getting the sniffles and have been noticing my nose getting a bit plugged again an the mucis(snot) is starting to come out green agian i was taking some tylenol compleat wich seem to help with the congestion but i have stopped taking tose the i sarted to take some decongestant wich i got from the phamasist wich i dont think has helped a hole lot but i have had this for about 13 days now going on 14 as of today the clogged ear started on the second or third day before the sinas conditions started how long should mu ears stay pugged as i am getting a little worryed nas it may be glue era or or something else i also should mention that i had flue shot on the thursday before that i have been to my doctor sice he said my ear drums were a lttle red not inflamed so he put me on a 5 day treatment of azithromycin he told me it should still be in my body for up at least 10 day after the last dose i had the las does on friday so i have not taken any for 5 days m,y doctor told me if the infection is viral the antibiotics will not likly work so iam just wondering if it might be a fungal infection as they also cause upper respitory intections or the common cold as for my hearing due to the infection i can still hear but i have a bit of tinnitus wich i hear is normal when the inner ear in fection is healting is this correct? when they checked my chest they said it was clear and the reason for the cough is becuse of the fliud id draning but the coughing stopped for awile but has since come back but it is not really a bad cough and it is only once and awile and before i was coughing bad mainly at nigh but like i said it has subsided at night also with my ears i get a bit if a popping sound when i swallow but that comes and goes aswell with my hearing i can now hera cars out side of my house passing by wich i couldent before aswell as other noses i couldent hear before but still i cannot hear some back ground noises still does this mean the infection is starting to leave anybody know?

  My dance teacher got an inner ear innfection in june and she still has it really bad. Im guessing it just depends on how well your baody can handle it
