How can you prevent pink eye?

Can I prevent pink eye before it starts?

  • Today, I got the pleasure of babysitting my niece. She has pink eye and she is very affectionate. I tried to keep a safe distance, sanitized EVERYTHING and we washed our hands frequently. I have big plans this weekend, is there anything I can do to prevent pink eye just in case I may have contracted it from her? (sounds silly, I know)

don't touch your eyes. Keep washing your hands, its very contagious!! But if you don't touch your eyes, you should be ok

sounds like you took all the right precautions, but you may also want to take some vitamin C to strengthen your immune system to be on the safe side
