When you have mono, do you always have a fever?

Does a fever always lead to nausea or vomiting? Also, is this a chill?

• I was wondering if this was a symptom of a chill, first of all. I've just been having to go to the bathroom A LOT since this morning (and so far it's only been this morning, I'm not sure about tomorrow) and it's always clear. I have to go around every 30-60 minutes and I'm a bit tired, but that's probably because I've been going to bed late and waking up late and having semi-interrupted sleeps. When I woke up I was a little bit cold because my fan was on (it's' the middle of summer here) so maybe that caused the chill...? But when I was looking up chills it said that chills without a fever will normally lead to a fever later on, and me being an emetophobic am worried about getting a fever because from most all the cases I've heard of, a fever nearly always leads to nausea and/or vomiting. So is what I have a chill? And does a fever always lead to nausea/vomiting?

  Fever does not always lead to nausea or vomitting. You are more likley to make yourself nauseaous worrying about it. Sounds to me that you might just be cold and that is all. Also I have found that after I have a fever it is after my stomach has been upset. The fever normally comes after the vomitting and not before. I am also a emetophobic so beleive me when I tell you this. If your stomach does not h urt or you are not nauseous then you are not going to throw up.
