Reddish eyes. Low grade fever. Some sweats. Usually causes crust to build up around the eye. And you will feel some inflammation and tenderness. Sometimes you will find pus which is the immune system attacking the infection. It is primarily caused by a virus. But can be caused by a bacteria. Bacterial infections are usually more severe than viral. And can cause much more unpleasant symptoms.
