If you are a Nurse Anesthetist?

Nurse Anesthetist's!!!! Can partial color blindness prevent you from being a nurse anesthetist?

My husband is not color blind, but he just has trouble telling the difference between orange and red, and then purple and blue. He has failed the last 3 eye exams. Will this prevent him from earning his nursing degree and then his later aspirations of becoming a nurse anesthetist??? please help, he is really worried. He is in the military right now so they will pay for his college, and nursing is all he has ever wanted to do! His mom and grandma were both nurses! anyone know???/

I'm not sure about the requirements of nursing... But your husband is colourblind. If he cannot differentiate between red/orange and blue/purple, that is colourblindness.
