Is this an inner ear infection?

Antibiotic resistant infection, please help. I have a reoccurring ear infection stemming from an inner ear?

• Inner ear infection that will never go away. Over the last couple years I have been on amoxicillin roughly 10 times. It always works, until this time. I did ten days of 500x3 per day of Amox, now I am on Cefprozil. The infection typically originates in my sinuses, but sometimes, like right now, I can feel it in my ear. I have been on ABs for 13 days and my right sinus (right side inner ear infection) is progressively getting worse if you were to judge by the look/color of the stuff coming out. My chest also is infected, and although I am in less discomfort since being on the ABs, the morning cough is still hit or miss, but this morning it was HIT. Coughed up a lot of yuck, and even one chunk that was fairly thick and predominently a blood chunk. Am I resistant now? What does this mean when I run out of ABs? Any info will help if you are educated in such topics.

  Probably the most common reason people dont respond to antibiotics with ear and sinus infections is inadequate draininage. What I mean is that if your ears and your sinuses dont drain properly, the antibiotics wont do what they are supposed to. You might a resistant bacterial infection. The ones that usually cause sinuss infections in the general public (excluding special cases) are usually not very resistant. I agree that this needs to be managed by a ENT specialist who can look and see if you need any kind of sinus proceedure which can help. Sometimes adenoids have to be removed, sometimes you need minor surgery on your sinuses and sometimes is can be as simple as a better decongestant. You almost always need a decongestant when managing sinus infections.
