What does it feel like to have worms in your stomach?

Worms? Parasites? Stomach cold?

  • Okay well I'm going to make this less graphic as possible. Okay first off I need to inform you that I am the type of person where I worry too much and let things get to my head to the point where I'll feel a certain way, basically worry myself to the point where something seems true. So lately i've had some sort of stomach cold where at first when I made my bowel movement, it would be light and mushy like a forrest green and that it. Then I was constipated for like a day, then the today I basically have like a very small squirt every time I try to use the bathroom. I got bored and googled parasites and worms and stuff. It seems usually people who don't wash their hands and what not get them but I always wash my hands and have above average hygiene. Recently though I guess i've had the parasites/worms thing on my head to the point where I feel little tingles in random spots of my body like from my stomach, and then maybe a tingle in my toe and that could be due to me thinking about the things. Anyways sorry to ramble, but basically if you have a parasite or worm will you see it in your stool? Like I have no evidence what so ever that I do because i've seen nothing in my stool to indicate that. So I hopefully am just worrying myself to the point where i'm freaking out and just have a stomach cold/flu/etc. So i guess my question is, until I see a worm or parasite in my stool should I just stop worrying? Thanks and i'm not crazy haha have a nice day/night :)

  • Answer:

LOL Even if you had intestinal parasites, they wouldn't make you tingle or itch! I think you would benefit by adding some fiber and water to your diet, to regulate your bowels. Maybe you have constipation but the mushy stuff is squeezing by it, so there is hard stool stuck inside you and making you ill. [Well, you like to worry about your health, right? And this really does happen to a lot of people.] So the easiest thing is to get some Metamucil and take it daily with water; or eat prunes. The thing with Metamucil is, though, it won't give you diarrhea if you take too much.
