Red bumps on my tonsils?

Sore throat, swollen tonsils, red bumps but I don't think it's strep. Please help!?

  • I had a sore throat for the first couple days. I have red bumps in the back of my throat. My tonsils are swollen but only the right one has like a bunch of little "holes" and I have two black spots. And my left tonsil is only swollen. The last couple of days I've been feeling GOOD. No sore throats or any kind of pain. I cough every now and then but it's because of my asthma. Except the bumps are still there and my tonsils are still swollen. I don't think it's tonsillitis because I would have white on my tonsils and I don't. And if I had strep wouldn't I have fevers and be feeling sick? If anyone knows what it might be, please let me know. I don't have health insurance and if I don't need to go to the dr.'s then I'd rather not.

  • Answer:

You could have an early case of Tonsillitis. The white bumps normally don't appear until later. Same with Strep Throat. And you don't always run a fever with Strep. I don't ever run a fever with it. It would be best just to go to the doctor.
