How to cure mouth cuts?

Is French Kissing with open cuts in your mouth safe if the other person DOESNT have any cuts of their own?

• Well I had snakebites (the lip piercings) for almost 3 months but took them off yesterday because I had just switched from stud piercings to the loop ones for about 2-3 weeks and within the 1st week or 2 the skin in the back of my lower lip began to split and rip where the piercing hole starts and it leads upward and ends near the top of my lip but still inside my mouth. Now 2 weeks later it had gotten to a point where it looked like they wouldnt heal unless I put the studs back in or just removed them completely. So I decided to remove them completely yesterday which I did and now im letting the holes close but my lip is still split in the back and they are still fresh and they bled a little when I took the piercings out, but once I removed them I cleaned the cuts and mouthwashed and everything. Later on in the day I ended up french kissing a girl, should I worry about anything happening since the cuts are still fresh? I asked if she had any cuts in her mouth and she said no. So if she didnt have any cuts in her mouth do I have anything to worry about? Should I worry about her saliva at all?

  Are you sick with anything? Were the cuts infected? How long were you kissing each other? If you're not sick with anything I don't think you really need to worry. Besides it being a little icky, I don't think anything bad will happen. Even if you did have some sort of blood borne illness the chances of transmitting it via spit is probably pretty low. Even so, I don't think kissing will help you heal, and (depending on how uh...vigorous it was) it might actually make things worse, so I'd hold off on it if I were you.
