How old should you be when you get your ears pierced?

I got impetigo when I was 4 years old after I got my ears pierced. Is it possible for me to get it again?

  • I want to pierce my ears again. And it has been 12 years after it happened.

  • Answer:

Impetigo is most common among children 2 to 6 years old. People who play close contact sports such as rugby, American football and wrestling are also susceptible, regardless of age. Impetigo is not as common in adults. But to be on the safe side I would make sure I get them done professionally.
