Horrible Sore Throat, Help?

Help me...SUPER sore throat..how can i fix this!?!?!?

• ok im currently 17 year old boy with a really bad sore throat...i need advice, since a doctor is out of the picture. please help...the past 2 days i felt the worst..felt like i was going to die..like pass out and never wake up..seirously At the moment, i check my throat and there are visible Red LUMPS in the back of my throat (visible part) who knows whats on my throat deeper down...it looks gross Basically ive been consuming warm green tea and soups since tuesday.... it feels nice on my throat, but since i breath through my nose, it dries out the throat almost instantly....and i get that same dry, rough, glass-swallowing sensation..makes me want to cry and punch a hole in the wall. The highest my fever went was like a 101.8-102...went down though. now it is like a 99.5-100.2 i dont think it is strep because i dont see any white patches...i see a little white stuff on the back of my throat though. STORY: Monday morning i wake up for school. i feel normal, just a little out of it as it is the morning. i go to school and i suddenly feel a sore throat. it haunts me the rest of the day. i come home from school and go to sleep. i wake up a couple hours later with a fever and a bad sore throat. that is how this started. tuesday i go to school to take my state standardized test and come home as a half day. that day i feel better, fever is low, but my throat and nose are KILLING me. wednesday was no better...throat gets worse and worse by the hour.... the whole time i took Tylenol COLD & Sore Throat syrup. this has little effect..does work on the fever though today is thursday and i took a dose of the tylenol before sleeping. I woke up today feeling better...no fever...throat was just a little weird. and then throughout the day at school, i lost my voice almost completely. I only talked a little bit, and my voice started cracking and right now it is almost gone. this irritates me...what did i even do wrong.... it feels like im swallowing glass every 10 seconds...it HURTS LIKE A MOFO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!… what can i do to releive this....i have Theraflu syrup that i have yet to try... i took an antibiotic but apparently it doesnt work on viral infections or something..and i dont know what kind of infection i have. Who knows what this is? could it be...mono? could it be the flu.....? i never experienced such pain in my throat...this is hell....seems like its never going away........ help me...what home remedies are there? Good medicines? techniques? also the DONTS...what not to do....what not to eat...might take the day off tomorrow so id like to know (remember..NO white spots..only red bumps..and fevers...and cold chills....NO COUGH!) HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…

  Try real warm (not hot enough to burn your mouth with good amount of salt and garglle head back. Small amount at a time. Temporary relief. HOWEVER, I have had STREP THROAT two times. Believe me, you wake up and it hits you, and you will know, if you compare it to previous sore throats. If it persists, or gets worse, visit a DOCTOR to check it out, swab it and send to lab. An MD usually can tell upon exam if it is strep. I realize care is expensive, but worth is $$ if indeed is is S throat. Antibiotics, relieves the pain pretty fast. If your temp is elevated, pretty good indicator along with "yuckys" This "bugaboo", can wrek havok, in more ways than sore throat. The appearance of my throat was different, such as: REDNESS, WHITISH LINES, THAT pain, occured bothe times. It was worse than when I had my tonsilectomy at age 12 yrs. old. TRY GARGLE for temp> results. Please NEVER take antibiotics, unless, you have seen a doctor. If he did a throaat swab it should have been sent to a lab where a Culture and Sensitivity possibly was performed. The results would show type of virus/bacteria and if the antibiotic is sensitive or resistant to the medication. Usually, Penicillen type is used and prettly effective, if taken as directed. Antibiotics cause more problems if not taken for full amount of days for which is was ordered, even if you feel better. If no relief within 2 days, do NOT pass go, run to the phone and report to your doctor.
