What to eat when experiencing diarrhea?
-
Okay so on Sunday/Monday/Tuesday I had extreme loss of appetite and then on Tuesday all day I had realllly bad gas and stomach pains, then Tuesday night I started having diarrhea, like the realllly bad kind :( Then Wednesday I was so sick all day, felt nauseated all day but never threw up, so dizzy could barely stand, headaches and diarrhea etc, Today - Thursday I woke up feeling a lot brighter, but I have gone downhill, my diarrhea has come back and I just feel really weak, like all my bones just feel weak. I am going to see the doctor tonight so I will get whatever medication is prescribed. But my question is what can I eat? What foods will help??

Answer:
Yogurt will help, if you can stomach it, as it's full of helpful bacteria that will get your intestinal tract healthy again. High fiber foods will help too.

Drink rice water. It'll help. Or boil potato's and eat them with out milk or butter. The starch will help.
diarrhea dehydrates you. take Imodium if you don't go to the doctors. I wouldn't eat for a few hours and until then just drink plenty of WATER or GATORADE or GINGER ALE . noooo pops or juices or milk. when you do eat, eat bland-toast, ramen noodles, crackers, bananas.
What you nead to do is make shure you have planty of fluids. Drink watter and flush the bug out of your body. And eat foods that have fiber. Like crackers, bread. Stuff like that.
Avocado , dry biscuits , rice also try going to your local chemist and ask for hydro lite you can get it in an ice-block form its just electolytes that your body needs after excessive vomiting or diarrhea
Enchiladas, tacos, tamales. Basically Mexican food.
Pediatricians recommend the BRAT diet for diarrhea: Bananas Rice Applesauce Toast All of these have anti-diarrhea properties, but the bananas have the added benefit of containing potassium which tends to be depleted by diarrhea. In addition, stay hydrated. Gatorade is good for replacing the salts lost.
When you have prolonged stomach upset, your body tends to lose nutrients much more quickly, including salts and electrolytes. You should eat whatever your body can keep down. Saltine crackers, which take a while to digest, as well as soup or broth, are excellent for soothing a sore stomach and getting nutrients back into your body. Some people like drinking ginger ale instead of water. Lean protein such as chicken or fish are a good idea as well. Stay away from things like nuts, beans or spicy foods, as well as cheeses and high-carb foods with lots of sugars, which will only cause more stomach cramps. (There is a reason they say to eat chicken soup when you've got the flu. It works.)
