How do I get rid of a stye in my eye?

  • I recently went to the dr. b/c I had a stye in my eye. It turned out that I also had pink eye in both eyes. I have been using drops since thursday 6/19, my pink eye has cleared up but my stye still remains. I use warm compresses, and it is still here. My main concern is my daughter is 3 months old and I don't want to get her sick. Any advice on how to get rid of it, and how to prevent my little girl from getting it.

    Warm water will help. If it doesn't go away get cream for it. If it still isn't going away call a eye doctor.

Make very strong, warm tea, soak a cotton ball in it, and press it to your eye several times a day. If this does not help (although this is sorta disgusting), soak a cotton ball in your own urine and do the same. I know, i know. Old Ukrainian remedies. Also, a very effective eye drop I have used in the past is Ofloxacin from Baush & Lomb.

I had one years ago. I just popped it and put some antiseptic around the area. Try not to get the anti septic into your eye too much. As for your girl, wash your hands often and try not to handle her toys too much.

i promice a lukewarm used tea bag i used it on my eye and it worked i woke up and it was huge .your daughter wont get it dont worry

Hot compresses will help them surface. I would use a cloth and just keep it on your eye. When the cloth cools down... warm it up again.

I usually use just plain vasine or clear eyes and that takes care of pretty quick
