How can i get rid of a stye?

Im starting to get a stye it hurts so much but i heard that if you put warm water on towel or something it will help, is this true? if it isnt please let me know of a way to get rid of it

that what usually helps the best for me. Hot water on a towel put it on your eye. Sounds odd too but if its in an eyelash, I pull the eyelash out with tweezers.
