What machines are used in a heart transplant?

I am 22 and when i am at the gym and run on the treadmill my heart rate goes up to 180 bpm. is that dangerous?

  • i am 22 years old. i used to run in high school track and field and did other varsity sports too competitively. after high school i did not have the time to work out often anymore. now i do and i am starting to work out but i only recall how to work out as hard as i did like when i was in training for competitions other wise it really dose not feel like a workout to me if i dont push my self that hard. so every day i workout i do a full circuit of lifts with free weights some rope machines and some standard weight machines. My first week i started working out i did every other day to let my self heal. but then my body started to heal overnight every day like it used to for sports. so now which is near the end of my second week i work out every day. after my lifting i then go to the treadmills and run at a pace to open my stride up for at least a good 6 minutes to really give my self a cardio work out like i used to for track and field. the treadmill says at the end my average speed i run at is about 10mph and and a 6 minute mile. I usually stop like at 1.1 miles a few seconds after 6 minutes. but when i am cooling down it also says my heart rate is 180. is that dangerous. when i am done running i feel a little dizzy. but nothing near as dizzy after i would train for track and field like when i used to run 49 second 400m or 21 second 200m runs would always make me much more dizzy. i used to not be able to see color for a good 20 seconds after a race. I used to run 2 miles in 5 and a half minutes and end up in much more pain. it barely feels painful to me compared to what i used to feel. but 180 seems like a high number to me. But if this is what it feels like at 180 then i must have used to get near 200. though both thoughs numbers seem high since i dont see anyone else on the treadmills going above 160. Is this dangerous? am i hurting my self? or is this safe?

  • Answer:

You need to go to the heart Dr and let them put you on a heart monitor and check you for S.V.T disease.
