Heart failure misdiagnosis?

If you have an injury or a problem with inflammation that causes the chest wall to press down on the heart. can it mimic the symptoms of chf?
Answer:

Yes it can. If the heart is squeezed for any reason, it's function is compromised. Loss of cardiac function is essentially CHF.

Yes its percarditis or Cardiac tamponade is the compression of the heart that occurs when blood or fluid builds up in the space between the myocardium (the muscle of the heart) and the pericardium (the outer covering sac of the heart).

The chest wall is nowhere near the heart. The heart is behind the left lung so any inflamation in the chest wall that caused pressure on your heart would have to crush your lung first in which case chf would be the least of your problems.
