Why do I have sudden fast and pounding heartbeats?

Weird heartbeats?Help?

  • Every couple of days at random times i feel 2 rapid heartbeats that make me cough right after. It doesnt happen very often maybe once every week. Ive gone to the doctor for this and they made me wear a machine that monitors my heartbeats for a day and they said i was fine But i am not 100% convinced because during that day that i was tested i didnt get the rapid heartbeats. My question is, is this normal? Why does it make me cough right after? Any help appreciated.

Strange, I would ask to wear the heart monitor longer if possible. I think you can even buy them yourself and then you could take any unusual results to your doc. The coughing might be associated with the nerves in that area, I think your heart is on the same nerve branch that controls part of the lungs. Don't become a hypochondriac however this could simply be something psychological like maybe it happened once and you worried it would happen again so it does. The mind can do some funny things.
