Why is my heart always beating so hard and fast?

Why would my heart be beating hard/fast after a nap?

First off going to state, I did not have a night mare, or anything of the sort, just went to sleep and woke up. I'm only 17 and my heart has hurt before, but this was kinda weird so just wanted to see if anyone could shine some light on the situation. My heart hurt a little bit before I went to take a nap, and my by hurt I mean it feels like its being squeezed. I woke up an hour or so later and my heart was beating much to fast for just having woken up. It was beating at least 1 every second and its slowed down more now that I'm fully awake but it still feels like its being squeezed. Any idea whats going on?

Did you take any medication beforehand? Do you feel like you have a fever? Have you lost a lot of blood in your periods? It could be anything. Measure your heart rate every hour, and if it continues to stay high then go to the ER and get an EKG done. I doubt anything really bad may be going on.
