Heart Attack risk assessment for me?

Possibly at risk of a heart attack. How do i survive it with no help?

  • Well I think I am at risk of a heart attack. I smoke and I drink FAR too many energy drinks. I'm not overweight. My mothers family has athlete low blood pressure but my dads family has had quite a few heart attacks. He's had 2 :( which adds to the stress. Last time I got my average bp checked it was 142/82. My parent's always think im faking it or dramatizing it when I get chest pain or have trouble breathing, so if I have a heart attack, no-one will help me. How do I survive it? yes i know i can do things to prevent it but im asking specifically how to survive it!

    Chewing a 325 mg tablet of aspirin will help. If your chest is feeling heavy, and pain starts spreading to your shoulder and jaw, those are symptoms of an impending heart attack. It means that a plaque in your heart has ruptured, and is attracting blood platelets, forming a clot. Aspirin inihibits platelets, preventing them from blocking the artery completely. The actual heart attack occurs when the artery is completely blocked and isn't getting oxygen, so if you can slow the blockage from forming you will prevent the heart attack. It takes about 8 minutes for chewed aspirin to start working, versus about 12 minutes if it's swallowed whole, so make sure to chew it! And call 911 right after you take the aspirin.
