How does antibiotic ointment work?

Antibiotic before dental work? heart problem?

  • i have heart problem (tachycardia and palpitation) and need to have dental work soon. Should i need to take antibiotic before the dental work? Because i read that antibiotic is needed before dental work for people with heart problem but some people said the opposite. And recently after i got root canal my heart problem got worse for 2-3 days, although now i feel better. Some people said its because i didnt take antibiotic before the dental work so im worried if my next dental work it could happen again if i dont take the antibiotic.

  • Answer:

I would STRONGLY recommend that you take an antibiotic before any type of dental work! Especially if you are having any teeth removed! I have experienced loss in my family (of my grandmother and uncle) ..shortly after having had dental work; (both of which had gotten a infinite amount of teeth pulled) and they both suffered from heart issues and high blood pressure! They both passed of heart attacks! So I would strongly suggest that you take a antibiotic! --Hope everythings go smoothly! (Let me know if you can :) )

you need to ask your dentist .. my daughter has a mild heart condition which has been going on since birth.. her cardiologist when I called them the day of the dental apt he said no she wouldn't need the antibiotic but her dentist said she did and gave me some to give her ..please don't take any chances with your heart. . .
