Low blood pressure help!?

  • I have VERYVERY Low Blood Pressure 90/50 i need to raise it, how much salt should i have a day? (mg) or is there any medications that could help? thanks p.s I got low blood pressure from my diet and does it take a long time to put back up you blood pressure to normal

  • Answer:

lol :) 90/50 is NOT very low it's perfectly fine, as long as you are not feeling sick or weak, some people are just healthy and have good blood pressure. Do NOT try to raise your blood pressure with salt, you'll just make yourself sick. You must be eating healthy now. And doctors recommend that people with high blood pressure limit their sodium intake (sodium, not table salt) to 2000mg a day, so if you are having less than that you can safely increase it to that.

Low blood pressure is not always a bad thing. It depends on whether you have symptoms or not. What to look for? Dizziness, fainting, racing heart, are some signs that your body is not tolerating such a low blood pressure. If you become symptomatic, go see your physician.

You need to go see a Doctor because there is medicine to help bring it up. Don't ever use salt to increase your blood pressure because All that will do is give you high cholesterol.
