What are the bioethical issue of insulin?

Does this sound like a hyper or hypoglycemia issue?

  • I'm 16 but I get dizzy a lot I was at the movies the other day and was eating mnm's then I started to fell shaky, really hot, nauseous, and just disgusting I wasn't really dizzy that time I also had a headache and when I came out of the movies my face was flushed. I have had blood tests before but like 2 years ago that came up slightly insulin resistant does this sound like a hyperglycemic or a hypoglycemic issue or something way off those two issues? I also had b12 deficiency but I don't think that's the issue.

  • Answer:

You can go on being a "dizzy redhead" or you can get your mother to make you an appointment with the doctor to find out what the problem is. You are probably fully diabetic now!! Slightly insulin resistant is DIABETES that is like being slightly pregnant!! You are or you are not!! And you needed followup visit with the doctor every 6 months since then to prevent becoming a worse diabetic. You will most likely be handed a sheaf of Rx's to take and told to go see the dietician and CDE for re-education on foods and exercise. Hypo means low glucose levels Hyper means high glucose levels Insulin Resistant means Hyper or high glucose levels that only get worse if not treated with low carbohydrate food plan and more exercise.

those are all nutrition deficiency symptoms too though! You might be deficient in the iron and some of the B-vitamins (if you don't have enough of the B-vitamins ,you can get dizzy, nauseous, headaches, etc..). you can get your nutrient levels checked out by the doctor/nurse. they will take a blood test to see if you're low in any of them. you might want to take a vitamin B-complex supplement (it's like a multivitamin, but has only the B-vitamins in them, like vitamin B12, vitamin B5, vitamin B2, etc..) and eat some spirulina (google for more info). Here's a website with all the different nutrients and their particular deficiency symptoms: http://1stholistic.com/nutrition/hol_nutr-def-symptoms.htm
