• I think this is the easiest way to ask some questions from people who have Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes on what they want out of a device on the Iphone. I am en Electrical Engineering Major who’s father has diabetes and I want to make a device that is quick and easy to use. So far I am going to try and start on the following. Iphone Compatible Device operates in the following fashion When connecting the test strip the application will automatically take presidence of anything you are using (incase you forgot to hit the app and have already have a blood sample ready) Sound for error check to ensure correct blood test (should I include a pop up that says the correct amount. Window will pop up after test asking if the following reasons were related to the insulin being out of range. -Algorithm that will compute your average insulin level and compare to current device. -Will include normal insulin range -If insulin levels are off from normal average ask why it was a bad day. -Food: To Little To: Much -Calorie Count -No Exercise -Vitamins not taken - To much insulin given or taken - Pills not taken By picking this option this will record the reason why it was low or high. Graph which shows insulin levels Food system to record diet quickly Advice Column with news and update maybe an RSS fead with diabetic news. Pricker, Test Strip, and measuring device will be shaped like a cover and will be able to pop out. Any other suggestions! I also am aiming at making the testing strips very cheap. Walgreen and CVS charge way to much for these products and I really think it’s the companies that make the strips only way of making money.

  You might want to also just create an app that a diabetic can track his/her numbers with (date, time, glucose level, possibly a notes area). I know they have these for other smart phones but iPhone isn't always compatible.
