Question about diabetes?
-
Okay, I don't have diabetes, officially, I guess. My mom has type 2 diabetes and when I was born (3 months early D:) I had utero diabetes or something... (I'm not sure what that is to be honest lol) Anyway, my blood sugar kept going up and and down until I went into insulin shock. The gave me insulin through shots. I came out of insulin shock and have been fine ever since. I know I can get low blood sugar really easily, and occasionally my mom makes me check my blood sugar but I have not yet been diagnosed with diabetes. I was wondering what the likelihood of me going into insulin shock again was, and how would they treat it? How likely would it be that I would be diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in my life?

Answer:
Next time you see your doctor, tell your doctor about this. You should have an A1c test, which will tell if you are having problems.

Insulin schock is too much insulin causing low bloos sugar. What you are describing sounds like hypoglycemia. Utero diabetes is gestational diabetes (diabetes a pregnant women gets while pregnant but it usually goes away after the baby is born) having that increases the likelihood of the woman later developing type 2 diabetes. You have a greater chance of develpong type 2 since your mom has it, see an endocrinologist and get tested and eat right and stay on top of your health.
Ok it sucks to have diabetes k so just go get it checked idc what anybody else say bout it it cant hurt to get it checked if you dont you will feel like crap all the time (like I did) so ya go get it checked plz and your chances of that are high (sry bout that)
