What are the symptoms of black mold and what does it look like?

I just found mold in my appertment and I have a baby..?

• I just found mold in our bathroom and our kitchen, our landlord is comming over soon to take a look at it but the problem is that I'm worried it's been there for a while. I have a 9 month old who is always in those rooms and I'm wondering what are symptoms I should look for incase he was exposed for too long. We'll be staying elsewhere untill this is fixed and I won't take him to the Doctors if I can't see anything wrong (he has a check up in two weeks anyways) so any help would be great, thanks.

  This happened to me as well. Ensure you take photos of all the mold evidence that you can see. Tell the landlord that this must be fixed properly and not just patched up. If you can, take photos of all the stages of the fix. All the pics will come in handy if they try to do nothing or just a bad bleach job or something. Document everything. Tell the landlord what you are doing so he/she knows that you mean business. Mold is bad for you and your family and can not be taken lightly! Our daughter was coughing for a long time and was tired and very pale looking. We had no idea that we had mold for a long time until I found a small pea sized spot by a fixture by chance.
