Levothyroxine side effect?

Has anyone had heat sensitivity side effect by taking levothyroxine for hypothiroid?

• I had tumor that was taken out that was affecting my thyroid. Now I have been taking levothyroxine for a while and have become very heat sensitive, very... I can't stand to be out side at all if any sun is out. I feel like I'm literally on fire and then I can't cool off. I can't even emphasize how bad I feel. I read the side effects of this med. and sure enough its on there, rare, but none the less a side effect. I told my doctor and he said I was being negative and to pick my poison. He said I could stop taking if for no more than five days but it wouldn't solve my problem and I prob. had something else wrong and should consult my general Dr. I have sense stop taken it, Im on my 6th day and I started feeling great immediately. I've been outside working on the yard and other odds and ends that I could never get to and the temp. has been in the high 90s. I know I have to start them up again or I'll mess up my thyroid. Has anyone experience this side effect? Does anyone know of an alternative medicine or Dr. recommendation in San Antonio, Tx.?

  I think you just need a lower dosage or else have the doctor switch you to Armor thyroid which is all natural. Try cutting your pill in half and see if it bothers you.
