How good are air ionizers at alleviating indoor pet allergies?

Sudden frequent onset of allergies.?

• I have always had allergies, I have hay fever, pet allergies, and those are just the "air" allergies. I have problems with dander, primarily with long haired dogs and cats. My food allergies are mangoes, pineapple, coconut, cherries, avocado, and wheat grass, and a few others. Lately I have been suffering from frequent allergies to other things, that I have never been allergic to. Mostly having to deal with food, and contact. I have had a skin test, which tested positive for a lot of things, so I now use special soaps, shampoos, and body washes, and I was fine. Now, even just the water on my skin seems to be irritating it. Leaving rashes, rough patches, and sometimes small liquid filled blisters that are not tender, just there. Fabric seems to be doing the same. I thought it might be a bug, or something with the water, but then the allergies began with food consumption as well. Eating fruits and vegetables causes swelling of my lips, face, and hands. Sometimes, it's just a severe itching/burning sensation in my throat, and has gotten to the point of vomiting. Just wondering what this could possibly be from? I have been looking online, and so far it seems most likely hormone changes, but I'm not sure. I'm going to the doctor in 2 1/2 weeks, so I am hoping maybe someone can give me a little help and relief while I wait to visit the doctor. Also, with the food, the same food doesn't seem to do it twice in more than 3 days, so I can eat an apple today, have a reaction, and not experience from one in an hour or tomorrow, but the day after tomorrow experience a reaction again.
