A bee stung me in the eye?

My brother in law got stung by a bee yesterday. and today his eye is swollen?

  Did he get stung near the eye? If so, then the swelling you describe could well be a natural result of that. The face doesn't do well when you get stung. I doubt it's periorbital cellulitis, which is a bacterial infection involving the eye. The face is just pretty sensitive territory, and bee stings can cause some impressive swelling. Try applying ice to the face, and taking some Benadryl to help calm things. With the face, you can expect swelling to happen for today and look pretty awful before it's done. Today stick with ice, tomorrow apply mild heat, and keep him upright so gravity helps drain things. The more he lies down, the more swelling he'll get. And if he starts having more problems, then it's time for the ER.
