Could I be allergic to milk?

My mom thinks shes allergic to chocolate milk?

  • So I was drinking chocolate milk today and I asked my mom if she wanted any. She said "No, I'm allergic to chocolate milk". She's not allergic to white milk, and she's not allergic to chocolate. Is there a chemical reaction when you mix the chocolate syrup with the milk? Does any of the "stuff" inside it change into something my mom might be allergic to? Oh yeah, and she thinks she's allergic because she said that when she was little she had chocolate milk and she had a migraine and she was throwing up. Maybe this was from something else though?

    Migraines and throwing up is NOT an allergic reaction. It means she got sick. Possibly from the chocolate milk, or maybe from something else. But even if it was the chocolate milk, it just means that it was bad. Soooo...for her to drink some now would be ok. And btw, no it doesn't change when mixed together. If she can eat chocolate, and drink milk, then she can have chocolate milk.

If she's not allergic to chocolate and she is not allergic to milk, then she is not allergic to chocolate milk. She probably was sick with something else as a child but remembers the chocolate milk incident most vividly. It's the same reason I won't eat heavenly hash ice cream and my kids won't drink orange juice. She is NOT allergic.

Im pretty sure she isnt allergic to it, She was probably sick from it for some reason, or ill before she had it and it just made her worse enough to be sick. When people get sick from something, they usually associate it to allergies, when in alot of cases its not. So I dont think she is allergic to it.
