How can I get rid of my redness in my eyes?

• Lately my eyes been red since I woke up, well pink, but as the day progresses by it gets red. I'm a contact lens user for over 6 years now, never had this problem. However, with this said I have been on the computer more at night and with low light setting while gaming with friends because I don't want to disturb other in the house. Usually I sleep around 12 or 11, but lately I've been up till 2 to 3 am. I never used eye drops to re wet my eyes, so it does get dry on my contacts when I take it out. I did go to the drug store to buy those relieve dry, red, irritated, pink, eye drops, but they are only temporary. Its like I use it and it will come back in a couple of hours. Ive been warn to not use them a lot, since they do have side effects. The other thins is, I recently seen the eye doctor and she said my eyes are fine and that my prescription didn't go up at all, just maybe some dryness. So, should I stop with the long hours of gaming on the computer and just rest my eyes for a couple of weeks? Or is there a eye drop out there that is recommended to get rid of the red eyes?

  u asked the question and u got the answer too... i mean u know why yr eyes get red recently, and u know how to fix it. as u said, u have no problem with the lens for 6 years coz u use it with many care, and now, u get into bed very late that's the main things make yr eyes red and dry, u should leave the computer for a while let yr eyes have time to recover, remember to use the eye drops to keep it watery....have a good one. by the way.... everyone's eyes are gonna be red and tired if they spend a long time with computer, especially at nighttime coz yr body set to be sleep and rest at night. and it's more effective with the lens....
