If it's not lactose intolerance, then what could it be?

So I thought that I've developed lactose intolerance because whenever I eat stuff like macaroni and cheese or anything else with dairy in it, I end up feeling really sick (bloated, gassy, nauseous, and difficulty breathing because of gas pressure). The symptoms usually last 2 to 3 hours before they start going away. I take gas relief pills containing simethicone but they don't seem to help at all. The reason why I'm thinking that this might not be lactose intolerance is because I get the symptoms immediately after I eat the food or while I'm eating. I read that lactose intolerance symptoms don't start until 30mins after you eat.

Sounds like it to me, and I have been very intolerant in the past. You need to get lactaid, or it's equal in generic form. Take 1 with the first bite of milk product and it helps tremendously. I have found that drinking alcohol and periods of stress make it much worse. Yogurt with live cultures helps. You might try the probiotics, that helps too.

Well... That does not necessarily mean you aren't lactose intolerant. There are different levels and symptoms of lactose intolerance depending on your race/gender. Simethicone is only a gas reducer, not a form of Lactase. (Which breaks down milk sugars) Try taking some sore of lactaid OTC medicine to help with the symptoms. Honestly, it is really the normal thing for your body to fight it. We are really one of the only species of animal that feeds off the dairy of another animal species. Think about it. =)
