Why does my eye get swollen?

  • Well,for the past few weeks probably month actually i've been having swollen eyes and almost closed shut. My left eye was swollen for a few weeks (itchy,red,swollen,lots of pain when i blink and touch it) and it never goes down when i put something hot on it.. but it went away kinda still has a few bumby spots,and like a few days ao i noticed my right eye started to swell;so now my other eye is swollen and its like the same thing D: Let me tell you this: it's been going back and fourth like this since august. I haven't gone to the doctor yet. AND I do wear makeup,but i wash it off,i kinda um...when i'm going out;i try to put makeup on to cover my swollen eye because people notice my swollen eyes. Can anyone tell me what i might have?Thanks alot! xoxo. Didn't look at the picture, but it sounds like pink eye. If not treated, the eyes can keep giving it back and forth to each other. The pharmacist diagnosed me, so that could save you a trip to the eye doctor. I got some eye drops from Similasan for Pink Eye at WalMart, in the eye drop section. I noticed an immediate difference right away. Use it in both eyes to cut the infection or it will keep passing back and forth. You should be back to normal in four days, although I suggest not wearing makeup on your eyes as it could irritate it and make it worse. Hope that helps!
