What is causing my allergic reaction?

  • The last couple of days I have been waking up in the mornings and I will sneeze and my asthma will slightly act up, my asthma only acts up when I am allergic to something. I recently adopted a puppy but I have had a dog for 13 years prior to my new one and the only pet I've ever been allergic to were cats. I practically spend all day with my puppy and I never sneeze or cough around him but when I wake up in the mornings I sneeze and cough. To test if my puppy causes my allergic reaction, I removed all of his items from my room, washed my sheets and made him sleep in another room. Yet I still woke up with an asthma problem. I have heard dog urine may cause allergic reactions and he has had a couple of accidents in my room and I just realized that the towel I used to clean his accident has been in my hamper. Does anyone know what could be causing this?

    What breed are your dogs? (Old and new) some breeds cause different reactions due to the way their hair is. It also could be something else such as a Dustmite allergy. Is it only in the mornings you get a bit a of a reaction?
