Is this a hair dye allergy?

Anyone develop an allergy to hair dye after being pregnant? what can i use to keep coloring my hair?

• i had been dying my hair for years with both box dyes and professional salon dyes with no problems. when i got pregnant i got my hair done at a salon and had an allergic reaction, i thought it might not have been rinsed well enough so i wasnt too worried. tried a box dye at home next and totally reacted big time, my scalp was "weeping" basically pussing from small breakouts. and red and itchy. after that i started trying allergy tests on my inner arm and always had a itchy red spot the next day. i have since had my baby, 8 mths ago and just went to get my hair dyed in a salon, did allergy tests and redken color had the least reaction, and i had foils done to minimise the color touching my scalp. soon as she went to rinse my hair out it started to itch, now 2 days later the redness around my hairline is getting bigger. i again have the weeping (not as bad as box dye) and itching. am taking benadryl and also have a prescribed cream with benadryl... what can i do to keep coloring my hair? or to relieve the reaction symptoms now? thank you
