Why does my nose randomly bleed?

Why did my nose bleed?

• so long story short : my dog got outside the house and ran into town which was very busy at the time, and not to mention it was night out so people could not see her well bc she is black and white so im chasing after her and extremely upset that she might get hit by a car in front of me so as im chasing her im crying and then all of a sudden i cant breath it felt like my throat has closed up! not only that my nose is now bleeding massively and wont stop a few minutes into my nose bleed and chunks of blood are now coming out my nose was starting to hemorrhage. well to sum it up after a 5 minutes of serious bleeding it stopped ( and yes my dog is safe she got cold and ran into an appliance store ) but im just wondering what caused my nose to bleed so severely was it induced by a panic attack for my dogs saftey? is that normal?

  Was it cold out? If it was then maybe yur throat closed up cause you can't breathe in the cold, that happens to my friend, & she says she has ashma or whatever. & i think yur nose started breathing maybe cause it was veery dry.
