How can i get rid of a sore throat(allergies) fast.?

Yesterday my allergies were horrible which is not unusual because im known for having bad allergies when the weather changes.....which it is in my city. So i bought some over-the-counter allegra from the store. I took it last night and when i woke up today, my nose is a little sniffly but my throat feels horrible. What's even worse is that i have a dentist appointment and party to go to today.! How can i get rid of my sore throat before 2pm today.?

1. Gargle with salt water 2. Take immune boosting vitamins, like vitamin C 3. Chicken noodle soup 4. Drink lots of water 5. Antihistamines
