What can be an allergic reaction to excedrin?

Can someone help me!? Rash on legs?! Is this an allergic reaction!?

  • I'm 15, 101lbs. Sorry if this is long, but i got a cut on my leg(on the back of my right leg close to my ankle) so i cleaned it out with hydrogen peroxide and i put neosporin on it and i put a band aid on it. Well when i would walk around, the cut would hurt a lot(still had the band aid on it) and i poked it and it felt a little swollen and it kinda stung. So like 3 days later , i took off the band aid and there was a rectangular outlining from the band aid on my skin(it was another cut in the shape of the band aid padding where the cut goes) and so i told my mom and her first guess was an allergic reaction so i washed it off, put more neosporin on it and then left it alone(without a band aid on it). Then a couple days ago, i started getting what looked to be white heads on the back of my legs on my thighs (kind of close to my butt, but there was none actually on my butt). Then they have been spreading. They look like white heads, but they itch and occasionally they hurt. They don't seem to be getting better, they're getting worse! But the cut seems to be healing. Yesterday i had the worse migraine i've ever had, i took some excedrin and ibuprofen, it went away after 4 or 5 hours. Lately i don't want to eat anything, it's almost like i've lost my appetite and my stomach has always been hurting lately and i feel bloated and i feel full all the time when i don't eat anything. What is going on with me? Do you think this is all related to that cut? What should i do? Any idea of what this rash could be? Long & helpful answers would be appreciated because i'm really scared! :(

  • Answer:

Something similar happened to me once--well the same thing, but it was all over both legs, front and back. It was the result of an infection I had gotten from a wound. The doctors said it was MRSA (a type called folliculitis). It was causing little things that looked like whiteheads to emerge from my hair follicles on my legs. Anyway, all it takes to get rid of it is some antibiotics, showering often, and scrubbing the area with soap and water regularly. But of course, I don't know if that's what you have. Either way, you need to see a doctor ASAP--like today or tomorrow, or it could get worse.
