How can I tell if I am allergic to something?

How do you tell if you are allergic to something?

  • For some reason I developed eczema around the age of 12. I learnt that it can develop from an allergic reaction to certain foods but I can't tell which foods, or how.

  • Answer:

Hi. Have a look at my blog at http://eczemafix.blogspot.com . Here you will find a therapy, strategy for winning the battle over skin viruses, skin virus mechanism (and why the strategy and therapy works) and two cures (Mangosteen skin poultice and 4 days at a warm clean beach). There may be other cures based on specific attrition of infected cells (sulfer / mineral baths - 4 days, mud baths -theoretically possible but untested by me). You may have slight allergies to some food but that is not the problem. The problem is that you have a skin virus infection which you should concentrate on curing yourself off.

When you put food against your lip and it tingles it means you are allergic. That is the safest way I know. You can improve your immune sytem by exercising and reducing your stress. When your immune system is working well your allergies will be reduced.

It could be food or it could be soap. Do you only have eczema on certain parts of your body? You could also go to an allergist and get tested.

I have been advising on nutrition, wellness and self-improvement using both conventional and less than conventional methods towards success for about eight years now. After having worked for an Ear Nose and throat specialist who also had a degree in immunotherapy, I knew about allergens and synthetic treatments for them. Allergies do develop over time if not immediately born without the proper receptors that either block or administer a chemical when necessary; therefore early childhood allergies are difficult to isolate and treat. My experience with synthetic preparations both external and oral in pill form, all have been complicated and un-successful while mixing herbs, following a mood/food journal and exercising, I can safely say I learned and you can too. In my own personal study and research on my body, I have used a food/ mood journal to teach me what I need in both diet and activity, to maintain a homeostatic balance in body, mind and spirit. Reading what a certain food stuff like carbohydrates exclusively, proteins exclusively, citric acids, alkaline rich elements, etc did specifically to my small body frame and AB+ blood type, I knew I was on a bad trip. It took me thirty years to finally figure out both white bleached sugar and salt are absolutely NO GOOD for the human body no matter what blood or body type you are. Althoug one's body does need potassium and iodine so sea salt un-processed but filtered, is essential. If your blood and body type are not nourished by what these can specifically convert to cellular nutrition and energy instead of sitting around as toxic waste and residual blubber, you can develop all sorts of adverse reactions, allergies being one of them. The blod and body types are direct markers to what we can and cannot consume, an allergic reaction mild, moderate or severe is PROOF something in it is naturally dangerous to us . . . The food/mood journal is for balance, to help pattern recognition assimilate areas where reactions to creams, beverages, cleaning products, bath accessories, cosmetics and most of all our delicious but sometimes tainted with additives that cause allergies much later in life. I know I suffer severe allergic reactions to MSG (monosodium glutamate, naturally-occuring sulfites and especially synthetically added, parabens and some of the FD&C chemicals used for flavor and color enhancement, are horrible. But this happened only in the last eight years in which a 10 year plus diary, was exceptionally useful. I encourage testing everything your palatte and skin come in contact with and record it. Most allergies are not well-treated superficially and as a practising homeopathist, I use herbs and herbal combinations to treat most of my conditions. I have cited some references that may help determine the onset of allergic symptoms, how to avoid them and how to even improve your reception to foreign invasion . . . of bacteria and allergens I mean. sharing the light, erica~the enlightenment advisor
