How do I get rid of post-nasal drip?

I think I have post nasal drip, how do i get rid of it?!?

• For almost a year now I've had excess saliva and mucus and everytime I swallow my ears pop loudly. But the weird thing is that whenever I get a cold or get sick the ear popping goes away. What do i do?
