What would be causing Hives?

What could be causing my hives?

  • Every morning when I go to school I break out in hives around the same spot on my face. Then it goes away in like a half hour. It happens Other times too. What could it be? And how can I get rid of it?!

  • Answer:

Hi, Hives can be caused for a plenty of reasons. It could be because you are allergic to a particular substance or because of some thyroid conditions, or autoimmune diseases etc. I suffered from hives until I figured out I was allergic to dairy , meat and a host of other things like preservatives, colors etc. So i switched to fully organic, dairy/meat free diet and my hives went away! So you have to find what exactly is the trigger , if you find that you get it only when you are outside it could be allergy to pollen or something in the air... you should try to remember if there is any common reason when you get hives.... but its difficult to find... may be an allergist can help... To get relief from hives you can take Zyrtec... its otc... or any other antihistammine life benadryl etc..
