How would one go about ridding him/herself of sinus pressure?

Sinus infection or allergic reaction?

  • I was tested for food allergies a few weeks ago. I started adding food back in on Saturday. I added soy. So that night I had miso soup and sushi with soy sauce. We were at a restaurant and the guy next to us had really strong cologne. But regardless, I had terrible sinus pressure after dinner and there was some drainage and stuff. Sunday morning I was still feeling just as bad. I had ti leave church early. My parents told me to take benadryl, so I did, and I alternated between tylenol and advil every two hours and I used afrin nose spray. Then I had tofu and vegetables with soy sauce for dinner, just in case it was the cologne that gave me the headache. Monday I was still feeling bad (sore throat from drainage, drainage, sinus pressure), I almost left school early, but I made myself stay the whole day. I took some benadryl and advil when I got home and used the nose spray before bed. I was still feeling the same today. I went to one class at school and decided to go home then. I just took advil and tylenol today. Then I used the nose spray tonight. I've been drinking lots of water. I still feel bad though. Is it from the soy or is this a sinus infection? By the way, my allergies just give me headaches I guess, I've never had a severe reaction.
