Fitting exercise into a busy schedule? Walking tips?
-
I have a really high stress level and I can't play any sports due to an injury. I can't run but I can walk. I am feeling stressed already just trying to fit this into my schedule. How long and how many times a week do I need to walk to help stress levels and to stay fit? I was planning on walking my dogs. I get up @ 6 and I have to leave by 7. I get home at 4 but homework and other activities take up a lot of my time.

Answer:
30 minutes a day, five days a week of brisk walking should be sufficient to lower stress. I'm guessing you'll be too beat at the end of the day to go out walking again, so why not get up at 5:30 and do it first thing in the morning. It will give you just the right mental boost to get through the day.
