How long does it take dry skin to go away?

  • I left my facewash on too long about 3 nights ago and it dryed out my skin COMPLETLY! Yesterday I mananged to peal off a lot of my first layer of skin which is the dry skin. After pealing off the dry skin my face feels less tight and better but there are some places where I haven't pealed off the skin like my eyelids because its rly hard so above my eyes and my eyelids are severly wrinkled because of the layer of ead skin. I was just wondering if I needed to peal it off in order to be cured of this dry skin or if I could just not peal it off and eventually it will peal off itself and my face will be back to normal and unwrinkly(it was never wrinkly before). And if so how long will it take to peal off by itself. THANKS FOR AANY ANSWERS!

    Get an exfoliator, one made specifically for your face. GENTLY scrub that over your face, rinse completely, and moisturise with a generous amount of moisturiser. When applying the moisturiser, use enough so that even after rubbing it in, there's still a bit on top of the skin, which will soak in over time. Only exfoliate once a day, but make sure to moisturise three or four times a day - or as often as your remember. Be gentle with your skin to make sure you don't worsen it. :]

Dude use moisturiser!!! Peeling of your freaking face dosent help. Dry skin can be easily treated with moisturiser.

Wow, what is in your facewash? Use a good quality, all natural, moisturizer three or four times a day to make sure your skin is never dry and it may be fine. It almost sounds like to had a sort of chemical peel effect with your facewash. If you notice any discomfort or it gets red and sore, see a doctor for sure. Hydrate your skin, keep your body hydrated inside by drinking lots of water and a couple days should be fine. Keep a close eye on it though.
