What would be a good back up plan?

What's a good workout plan for a 13 year old?

  • This is the fourth time I'm asking the same thing, basically. What I'm looking for as an answer is something VERY specific. See, I'm 13, 6' 2", and 155 lbs. I used to be overweight. I've stayed about the same weight since 6th grade, but I grew a foot, so I've slimmed down a lot. I'm pretty thin, but I have some flab here and there. I don't really have a lot of muscle, despite how big of a structure I have, and I really wanted to find a plan that can help me gain some. I don't want to be buff or anything, just something more . . . visible, if you know what I mean. When I say I want a SPECIFIC answer, I MEAN specific. I want a good plan that basically starts from ground zero and gradually builds up to having more muscle. This means what I should eat, how much I should work out, what the workouts should consist of, etc. I know basically nothing about muscle gaining or anything of the sort, so maybe some links to research that I should do before I start a plan would be helpful. I'll give you an idea of what I can/can't do: - In a row, I can do around 20 pushups (sad) - In a row, I can do about 80-100 situps - I can do like . . . 2 pullups (sad, again) - I don't know how much I can lift Anyways, please, something specific. I tried to find something that would work online, but I couldn't. Also, I'm planning on taking weight lifting in high school. Thanks in advance.

    So this is my suggestion. It's probably not what you're loooking for, but I'm just trying to help. -20 pushups, like you can do now. Then, everyday, make a goal to increase by one pushup. -Keep doing 80-100 situps. If you want faster results, 100 situps is probably better. -Keep doing 2 pull ups. Everyday, make a goal to increase by one. -Go running. Find a hill by your house and run for 30 minutes as often as you can. -Lift weights. Find something that isn't UNBEARABLY heavy, but make sure it sin't too heavy either. -Jumping jacks. 200 every time you excercise. They're actually very easy and effective. Hope I helped? :)
