How early can you season your thanksgiving turkey?

Will I gain weight if I work out on thanksgiving?

  • I had a 5k thanksgiving morning, which I ran in 24: 58 (I haven’t been training as hard as in the cross country season, but still get a cardio workout in everyday!) My diet then consisted of: Skinny vanilla latte starbucks cheese slices, 2 crackers. 1 serving of: green beans jello butternut squash stuffing dinner roll white meat turkey I then went on a 2.5 mile shakeout run in the evening to wake me up and because I needed to get a cool down run in, since I was unable to after the morning race. This morning I weighed myself and was suprised to find myself 3 pounds heavier (granted I was in some heavier clothes, but not 3 lbs worth!) How is this possible? I have been watching what I eat and never go over my 1400 a day diet, and I run or get a cardio workout every day!!

The general rule of thumb that works is calories in - calories out = no weight gain. You must have eaten a lot of stuffing or Starbucks to overcome that much exercise. Next time skip the stuffing and starbucks altogether. It's hard to understand how you could gain weight on 1400 calories a day with all that exercise. Is there a missing piece to this puzzle? Perhaps you're one of those rare people with a hormone imbalance and should get a thorough blood test read by a doctor.

Your weight fluctuates daily so you have to weigh yourself that the same time every day.

You'll be fine, in a week anything you ate will be canceled out I think you did VERY well :)
